Callous

I remember what my brother sent me through SMS. It was a forwarded message but it strikes my heart and I feel that it suits with this case. The message goes like this…sabi nila: “kung cno mei kailangan sya lumapit..”panu ung nalulunod?..sya rin ba ang lalapit?” - laugh but look beyond the joke.. it is not always the people with worries shud come to us..sumtyms we need to be sensitiveenaf to know when to make the first move..

It was almost 11 AM when I went to Camp Crame to personally pass my resume. The sun was so hot that almost all people is irritable and move very quickly to find a shade.. There was also a medical mission conducting but maybe because it is almost afternoon they have no patient for consultation. I saw this old woman rushing to go to the restroom. She did not look the step and she stumble and fall right beside the table of the health workers in the medical mission. I am almost three meters away from the incident but I clearly heard all they say to the old woman while they are comfortably seated in their chair, “Ano b naman kayo lola?!Hindi naman kasi kayo tumitingin sa dinadaanan nyo..” I was shock and told myself, “Hala!pinagalitan pa,eh hindi naman nila tinulungan”. I look around but no one seems to help, I quickly ran and assist her to rise. At first, I have a hard time lifting the woman, “Ang bigat pala..” so I use my both arm to bring her up..and successfully I did.. I offer her a chair and I leave.

While I am walking I feel that I am a Good Samaritan..nakz naman noh?!..In such simple incident I realize that you can help others even in your own little way..Hindi na kailangan na humingi pa ng tulong ang isang nangangailangan para tayo ay tumulong..We must be aware and sensitive..Don’t be like a callous, very insensitive…
